The investigation that lead to freezing Chichakli's assets is closed with no proof of wrong doing; however, the injustice continue!The DOJ-FBI investigation that allegedly caused the action against Richard Chichakli in 2005 has been closed as it failed to substantiates any of the US government allegations against Richard and which resulted in his designation according to the US government press release. The office of the US Attorney refused to affirm the closer of the case; however, stating that Richard Chichakli is now under investigation for allegedly doing business with a US entity in violation of OFAC designation, according to a letter received from Assistant US Attorney Stokes. The letter received from Christopher Stokes the Assistant US Attorney on 11/22/2008 did not make any reference to the early investigation and was limited to state " This office presently has an ongoing Grand Jury investigation with respect to violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act ("IEEPA".)" The IEEPA is the act used by the US president to underline his executive order. The conclusion of the investigation in such manners deals a strong blow to OFAC which used the DOJ provided "secret evidence" to prevent Chichakli's brought laws suite against the US government from being heard in a court of law. The initiation of a new investigation is designed to extend the protection of OFAC from being sued again and to maintain the persecution of Richard. OFAC and the US government have tried unsuccessfully for the last 7-years to manufacture cases and evidence to prove wrongdoing by Richard Chichakli. |
